St John’s College, Cambridge

St Johns College & Cambridge

Last year we where for the Cornelsen course “Take it Easy” at St John College. This very old Cambridge college, was  founded in 1511. Its foundation charter, dated 9 April that year, was sealed by the executors of the foundress, Lady Margaret Beaufort mother of King Henry VII. This college alone has given the world nine Nobel Prize winners, six prime ministers, three archbishops and at least two princes. Its past is of course very important. But the people who live and work here now focus on research and new ideas too. The college is educating the next generation … in other words, it is a working community that is looking to the future.

The four “Take it Easy” films were all made in collaboration with the actress Nina Straiford.

The scripts were written by Annie Cornford, also the author of the method. Supervision Cornelsen; Susanne Schütz. We are also very grateful Ryan Conin, the Press, Publicity and Communities Officer of St. John’s College. He made it possible to film at the normally closed College.
